Todays post is one that I have been having the hardest time posting. For some reason, my blogger account was compromised, I have had posts disappear and FINALLY after trying to get this WordPress blog set up, I am Finally able to post this review and interview.
Also, there will be a giveaway, so keep on reading.
I was lucky enough to meet the owner of Eisley Rose Cosmetics through a mutual friend on Facebook. I was also lucky enough to get an interview with her! The owners name is Kenya Alu. She is from Texas and is married with children. She was an RN by trade, but she hasn’t practiced in a few years. She worked for a cosmetic surgeon, where they did botox, laser treatments and more. She wanted to expand into her own business and be her own boss, which luckily for us she did!
Kenya always loved beauty and is a firm believer in taking care of yourself. She is more natural with makeup than some… (cough cough me). She, like many of us, believe that mascara is a staple, and everyone needs a good mascara in their lives. Kenya also believes that makeup is also a fun way to share your creative side. Since she believes that everyone needs a good mascara, she started her company with just mascara and a lash primer, but will be expanding in the future.
Kenyas’ company is named after her daughter. It took over a year to get the perfect logo and branding. She wants her products to be the very best of quality and she listens to customers opinions/suggestions. I was lucky enough to get a lash primer and mascara to play around with for a few months (thanks again for your patience while I experienced tech issues Kenya <3 You are awesome!). She is always brainstorming new makeup ideas, so if you have any ideas, be sure to comment them down below and I will share them with her.
What came first the primer or the mascara? Kenya had the mascara made first because she wanted to have a good mascara out and on the market, but then she started selling the primers too! Double the fun! She was excited about how well the primer and mascara were, she wanted to share them with us. (How thoughtful is she!). The primer is conditioning and protecting, but I swear it made my natural lashes longer and thicker. The Mascara. The Packaging is literally perfectection! It is cute, sleek, and looks super high quality! It really has caught my eye. The Brushes are what made me say “OMG” because you can tell that they were carefully selected to go with the formulation of the mascara. Win-Win or Wink-Wink in this case. Her manufacturer is amazing and had suggested that she use a double sided mascara. It had a regular sized side and a thin side that is meant to get close to the lash line aka a tight-line.

She wanted to be in stores at first but then she realized that she wanted to branch out and not be limited to only physical stores. Her goal isn’t to be super rich for herself. She wants to share amazing makeup with us, support her family, and help others. She helps women that are trapped in the sex slave trade industry. The charity she gives to helps educate, free and empower these women. Kenya said “The more I make, the more I can give!”
Now why can’t more businesses be like that? Kenya you are one in a million hun! You are radiant, beautiful, and your products are stunning. I am so pleased to have met you.
